Technological progress has contributed little to the ancient art of baking except to make each bakery less and less unique. At Fox & Obel's full-service bakery, we back away from technology. No commercial yeast is used and machines never shape our breads. Each hearth-baked loaf is carefully hand shaped by bakers who have apprenticed side by side with our Executive Baker for more than eight years.

Our pastries as well as our breads are made from fresh, natural ingredients. You can taste the deep, intense chocolate in the bittersweet chocolate tart and the sweetness of the grain in the multi-grain boule. Bakery favorites include French baguettes, peasant sourdough, whole grain breads, challah and brioche, cinnamon swirls, raisin nut bread, croissants, cupcakes, traditional cookies, layer cakes and chocolate bread pudding. And we're always happy to fill special orders.
